How we grade

The rules behind every grade, status and heat score.

Evidence grades

Each grade covers one use of one peptide, so the same peptide can be Proven for diabetes and Failed for dementia. A change in a lab marker, such as a hormone level, rates no higher than Early unless it comes with a benefit people can feel or measure.

Proven
Approved for this use by FDA, the EU-wide regulator, or the UK, Canadian or Australian regulator.
Supported
Randomized controlled trials show a benefit, but it is not approved for this use.
Early
Only small, uncontrolled or low-quality human studies, or a change in a lab marker without a proven benefit.
Lab only
Animal or cell studies only, with no meaningful human data.
Failed
Controlled human trials found no benefit, or development stopped for lack of effect.

Legal status

Status is shown for the region you pick at the top of the page. If we could not confirm a status, we say so rather than guess. Some countries let a prescriber order an unapproved medicine for one patient. The note for each region says where that applies.

Prescription
An approved medicine that needs a prescription.
No prescription
Sold without a prescription as a cosmetic or food supplement.
Compounded only
No approved product is sold, but a pharmacy may prepare it on prescription.
Some countries
Authorized in only some countries of this region.
Under review
Filed with the regulator, not yet approved.
Trials only
Not approved. The only lawful route is a clinical trial.
Rules in flux
Not approved, and regulators are reconsidering the rules.
Not approved
Not approved here. It cannot lawfully be sold to the public.
Not verified
We have not yet confirmed the status here.

Heat

Heat shows how many people are looking a peptide up right now. It says nothing about whether it works or is safe.

We count monthly reads of the peptide on English Wikipedia, including reads that arrive through brand names such as Ozempic or Mounjaro, with bots excluded. The level uses the average of the last three months.

Red hot
30,000 or more reads a month
Very hot
10,000 to 30,000
Hot
4,000 to 10,000
Warm
1,500 to 4,000
Quiet
Under 1,500

Wikipedia reads are a public number anyone can check, and a fair stand-in for search demand. They lean toward English-speaking readers. Collagen supplements and KPV have no article of their own, so their level is our estimate. The facts under In the news on each page show what is driving attention.

What users report

For unapproved and off-label products we summarize recurring themes from public forum posts, good and bad. These are anecdotes from self-selected people with no comparison group. We do not quote, rewrite or rate individual reviews. For approved medicines we use the side-effect rates measured in trials.

Notebook

Without an account, notebook entries stay in your browser and never reach us. With an account, they are stored in our database on Cloudflare so they follow you to every device. Only you can open them through the site. As the operator we could technically read that database. We do not, and entries are never pooled, sold or published.

There is no dose field. A notebook is a diary, not a test: sleep, food, stress and expectation all move how you feel, so a pattern in it is something to discuss with a clinician, not proof that a peptide works.

Who checks this

Every entry is drafted from the sources listed on its page, and every benefit is graded separately against them. News, dates and statements found by our automated searches wait in a review queue until an editor has opened the source and confirmed it says what the entry says. Changes to legal status are always checked by hand.

No entry has yet been reviewed by an independent clinician or pharmacist. When one has, the reviewer's name and the date will be shown on that page. Until then, treat this as a well-sourced starting point for a conversation with a professional, not as medical advice.

Sources and corrections

Every peptide page lists its sources: regulator pages, official labels, company results and published studies. The data and code are meant to be open, so anyone can check a grade against its sources and propose a correction. Rules in this field change month to month, so check the review date and the source before you rely on anything here.

Privacy and funding

Without an account, your watchlist and notebook stay in this browser. With an account, we store your name, email address, watchlist, notebook and the dates we emailed you, in our database on Cloudflare. The link in every email stops the weekly email and keeps your account. Settings, then Delete account, erases all of it at once, and the stop page offers the same. No tracking pixels, no data sales.

No affiliate links and no sellers anywhere. Company pages carry a single labelled ad, the only paid placement on the site.
